4 potatoes like Yukon
1 carrot
1 onion
7 oz pork or beef, thinly sliced ( about 200g )
1 cup water ( 240ml )
1 teaspoon powdered dashi
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sake
2 tablespoons mirin
2 tablespoons sugar

Peel potatoes, and cut into 4-6 pieces. Cut onion in half from top to bottom, slice into 4/5 inch (2cm) wedges. Peel a carrot and cut rolling into wedges.
