Oatmeal Buttermilk Whole-Wheat Pancakes

These are so delicious! And I feel very healthy when eating them because there is only 1 tablespoon of sugar in the whole recipe and it includes whole-wheat AND oats! These cook fast so use a lower-than-normal pan temperature to make sure you don't burn them before they cook through.

3/4 C of oats (I use old-fashioned)
1 1/2 C plus 2 Tbs buttermilk, divided
3/4 C whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbs butter, melted
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 1/2 C plus 2 Tbs buttermilk, divided
3/4 C whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
2 Tbs butter, melted
1 Tbs brown sugar
