One-Pot Spaghetti with Meat Sauce

One-pot hearty spaghetti & meat sauce. A quick homemade meaty spaghetti sauce and pasta cooked start to finish all in one pan!

2 T. extra-virgin olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped fine
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 lb. lean ground beef
1/4 c. tomato paste
1 T. Worcestershire
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 t. dried oregano
pinch of red pepper flakes
2 (28 oz.) cans crushed tomatoes
1 (14.5 oz.) can low-sodium chicken broth (or beef broth)
1 t. salt
3 c. water
1 lb. spaghetti, broken in half
1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/3 c. minced fresh basil (one .66 oz pkg.)
1 medium onion, chopped fine

1. Heat oil in a large soup pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat until the oil is shimmering, add the onion and bell pepper. Saute until the vegetables start to brown around the edges, about 5 minutes....
