{oven baked} General Tso's Chicken

One of my favorite Chinese dishes, and this version is healthier and tastier than take out!

3 chicken breasts, diced
4 tablespoons oil
1 cup corn starch
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon pepper
steamed rice for serving
optional toasted sesame seeds and green onion to garnish

Sauce:
4 tablespoons hoisin sauce
4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 tablespoon minced garlic (or garlic powder)
2 tablespoons water
1 Tbs cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
