Nothing says summer like a tall glass of lemonade! This lemonade has just the right balance of tart and sweet (but feel free to adjust if you don't agree!) and a secret ingredient that takes it to the next level and will make everyone wonder why your lemonade tastes so much better than theirs!

2 cups fresh-squeezed lemon juice (about 8-10 large lemons)
2 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
a pinch of salt

Pour lemon juice into a 1-gallon pitcher. Add salt, sugar, and vanilla and stir until sugar dissolves. Add ice and cold water to make 3 Liters. (3 liters = about 12 cups.)
Makes 16 6-oz servings, or 8 12-oz servings.
