I learned how to make this delicious bread when I was in high school, more than a few years ago, ha ha.

1 potato
6 tablespoons sugar
2 Tablespoons salt
4 tablespoons oil
2 packages yeast
14 1/2 cups flour
4 1/2 cups water

4 1/2 cups water
Cook potato (no salt) until done. Mash potato, add sugar, salt, oil and warm water. Mix thoroughly and add yeast. Cover and let stand until it bubbles. Mix above mixture into flour and let stand until it doubles its size. Knead and let rise again to double its size. Put into bread pans that have been greased and let rise again. Always be sure to cover dough while it is rising. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 45 minutes. When taken out of oven be sure and take out of bread pans. Butter top of each loaf
