Simple and flavorful. A one pan dessert is fast and easy clean up!

1 C Raisins
1 1/2 C water
1 C sugar
1 Egg
1/2 C oil
1t cinnamon
1t baking soda
pinch of salt
2 C flour
1 t vanilla
nuts (optional)
2 T butter
2 T milk

Add raisins and water to small sauce pan and boil for 5 minutes.
In a medium sized bowl mix, sugar, egg, oil, cinnamon, baking soda, salt. Add raisins and 3/4 c of liquid left after boiling. Add: flour, vanilla and nuts if desired.
Grease and flour a cookie sheet.
Bake 350 for 15 min. until golden brown.
To make glaze: mix butter, milk, and add powdered sugar till mixture is thickened. Pour over bars and spread.
