Ranger Cookies

When I was a kid, my mom used to make these Ranger Cookies. The thing I love about Ranger Cookies is that they are crispy and crunchy and chewy all at the same time! The cornflakes give them crunch; the flaked coconut and brown sugar make them chewy and the rolled oats makes them crispy!
1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 t. salt
2 cups flour
2 cups rolled oats
2 cups cornflakes
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 t. salt
