Raspberry Pretzel Salad

This is a wonderful recipe handed down to me by my Mother-in-law. It is a staple on the table at Thanksgiving and Christmas and is great in the summer months as a cool refreshing treat!

2 cups semi-crushed pretzels
1 small can crushed pineapple, drained
9 oz cool whip
6 oz pkg raspberry jello
2 cups fruit (I like to use frozen raspberries)
3 Tbsp sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
8 oz pkg cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
2 cups boiling water
