1 cup masoor dal
1 onion finely chopped
1 tomatoes finely chopped
1 tsp Ginger minced
1 tsp garlic minced
1/4 tsp turmeric
to taste Salt
1 tbsp ghee
1/2 tsp cumin
2 dry chilies
1 tbsp ginger julienne
3 cloves garlic cloves crushed
1 tsp Hing
to taste Curry leaves
to taste Coriander fresh
2 cups water

In the cooker add masoor dal, chopped onion, chopped tomato, grated ginger and garlic, salt, turmeric powder, water and mix them together.
