1 cup dry lentils
6 1/2 cups water
4-5 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
1-2 bay leaves
1/2 tablespoon cumin
1 pinch of cinnamon
2 cups Basmati rice
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
