In Russian, they are called KOTLETY (cutlets), standard fare in every workman or student cafeteria. Cheap and fast, they are definitely not cutlets since they are made from ground meat (any meat or combination of meats). For some mystical reason, they are considered a great delicacy among emigrant kids. 1 pound ground meat (beef, turkey, etc.)
2 slices of bread
1/2 onion finely diced
2 cloves garlic squeezed
1 large egg
1/2 cup soy or rice milk
1 tablespoon cilantro (fresh or dry)
To taste salt and pepper
