Shandy Beer Bread
710
Looking for a little extra zip in your beer bread? Try using a Lemon Shandy! I used Shocktop, which is my favorite, and it gave my beer bread a little citrusy twist.
6
3 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs baking powder
1 tsp salt
12 oz (1 bottle) Shocktop Lemon Shandy beer
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 Tbs baking powder
1 tsp salt
12 oz (1 bottle) Shocktop Lemon Shandy beer
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter melted
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Spray a 9\\\" baking pan with nonstick baking spray
In a large bowl, whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt well
Stir in the beer and 3/4 of the melted butter until everything comes together into a loosely sticky ball
Pour the dough into the pan and spread into the corners.
Drizzle the rest of the butter over top
Bake for 50-55 minutes, turning the pan 180 degrees halfway through
