These Smothered Green Chile Chicken Burritos are AMAZING, and super easy to prepare. They’re baked until crispy and smothered in the best, homemade green chile sauce.

For the filling:
3 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded
1 1/2 cup of your favorite salsa
1 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
1 1/5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 green onions, chopped
6 (8’’) uncooked flour tortillas, I prefer the tortilla land brand
olive oil or nonstick cooking spray
For the Creamy Green Chile Sauce:
3 tablespoon butter
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 tsp minced garlic (about 1 clove)
2 cups low sodium chicken broth warmed
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 tsp dried oregano leaves, crushed
salt and pepper, to taste
1 4oz. can mild chopped green chilies
1/3 cup cheddar cheese, plus more for topping on burritos
1/2 cup sour cream
