These spell-casting treats start with store-bought snack cakes and get their perfect pointy hats from ice-cream cones dipped in chocolate frosting that are then attached to cookies.

12
1 can (16 oz.) milk-chocolate frosting

12 sugar cones

12 Dutch cocoa cookies, like Archway

Assorted decorations and candies, like moon- and star-shaped confetti sprinkles, marshmallows and/or fruit leather

6 cream-filled devil’s food snack cakes,
like Ring Dings or Ding Dongs

1 can (16 oz.) vanilla frosting

Mini chocolate candies, like M&M’s

Assorted food coloring
Step 1: Dip on a delicious coating Microwave chocolate frosting in container (lid and foil removed) 1 min. or until melted. Stir until smooth. Dip pointed end of cones into frosting. Let sit on wire rack, point side up, 5 min. Attach dipped cones to cookies with melted frosting to create pointed hat. Decorate hats as desired with sprinkles, marshmallows and fruit leather while frosting is still wet. Step 2: Affix fun and freaky faces Cut each snack cake in half diagonally for the faces; place cut side up on work surface. Fill a pastry bag fitted with small round tip with vanilla frosting. Draw frosting eyebrows and attach mini M&M’s to snack cakes to create faces. Tint remaining frosting with food coloring; use to decorate points and brims of hat, if desired. Step 3: Assemble on an angle Adhere decorated hats to cut side of snack cakes with a small amount of chocolate or vanilla frosting. Chill until set.
