1 15 oz can sweet potatoes, drained* (2 Tbsp liquid reserved)
1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
1/3 cup water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/4 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chopped pecans
