Pomegranate BBQ Pork Chops is found at the Kona Cafe at Walt Disney World's Polynesian Resort. These bbq pork chops are succulent and have the perfect Asian flavor to them.

Simple but mind-blowing flavors – that's what you can experience with this simple Filipino recipe. The longer you let it cook, the better it will be. This chicken recipe is the national dish of the Philippines and each region has its own versions.

You can add your flavor notes by using honey instead of the typical sugar or adding some star anise to give a wonderful anise flavor. A teaspoon of chili flakes will also add a great kick to the dish. Adding a tablespoon of lemon juice will add some freshness and citrus flavor.

Steamed Clams in White Wine

A steamy bowl of clams is very centering. It's also a very hands-on dish, where you tear the clams out of the shells. I also like crusty bread to dip into the dish.

Our version of the dish is a bit spicy. You can omit the red pepper flakes if you don't feel like putting some heat in the dish. You may also add some ginger for a more aromatic flavor to the dish. Also, you can twist this dish by toasting the garlic to make it crispy and add it at the end as a garnish.

2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 medium-sized shallot
3 cloves Garlic
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 cup White wine
2 lbs littleneck clams
1 lemon
Spring onions for garnish
Salt and pepper to taste
4
  1. Start by mincing the garlic and onions.
  2. Clean and scrub the clams.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add the minced shallots and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add red pepper flakes and the garlic...

If you're looking for a light dish to serve at a party, this is a good one. This would also be great at a summer garden party.

The recipe as written calls for Rosemary and Thyme, but you can substitute other herbs that you like better. Parsley and dill would also be nice in this dish.

Savory Purple Yam Samosas

Samosas are healthy little pastry pockets of potato and peas flavored with Indian spices. However, this recipe adds a few ingredients from Chinese cuisine. You can also add some diced carrots and tofu for a samosa that is packed with flavors. Chopped cilantro would be good in this dish as well. The rich steak-like texture and flakiness of salmon really shines with this preparation.

The result is a rich steak-like salmon with a hint of sweetness to the meat.

This recipe is a perfect pairing for rosé or light bodied white wines.

Pork Stroganoff

I grew up having stroganoff every now and then. But, it was usually the beef version and was served over buttered egg noodles. This pork version could be served over noodles as well. But, red cabbage, crispy potatoes or even garlic bread would be lovely with this too.

One way to level-up your dining experience with this recipe is to pair it with a nice red wine. A semi-dry wine, with medium acidity and tannin levels are perfect with this. Malbec red wines are mellow and will not overpower the dish. It is best paired with creamy sauces and pork dish like this pork stroganoff recipe.

Pecan Crusted Chicken

This encrusted chicken is crispy, crunchy and satisfying. It's best used as an entreé, but you can cut each thigh into pieces and put the pieces on skewers to make an appetizer.

The recipe calls for chicken thighs because they are the juiciest. But you can also use breast meat if that's what you have available.

12 oz chicken thigh

1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp dried oregano
7 oz pecans
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 egg
1/4 cup unsalted butter
salt and pepper to taste

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Chop the herbs, garlic, and pecans into a coarse flour-like mixture.
  3. Add salt and pepper to the mixture.
