These easy Homemade Sloppy Joes are perfect for busy weeknights or lazy weekends. The ingredients can be easily found at your local grocery store and are mostly pantry staples.
1 T. extra virgin olive oil
½ medium white onion ( finely chopped )
3-4 pieces garlic cloves ( minced )
1 piece medium green pepper ( finely chopped )
to taste Sea salt
to taste black pepper
1½ lbs. lean ground beef
1 can 15-oz tomato sauce
1 T. tomato paste
2 T. Worcestershire sauce
1-2 T. brown sugar ( adjust amount depending on personal preference )
½ T. Dijon mustard
1 T. Vietnamese chili-garlic sauce
4-6 pieces Hamburger buns or Brioche buns
2-3 T. unsalted butter ( melted )

Once I had made my own Smoked Pastrami it just seemed natural to make pastrami burgers. The pastrami has so much flavor that you really don’t need much seasoning in the burgers. They make such a great combination.
2 lbs lean ground beef
