There’s not much better than a soft, velvety, red cake bar that’s smothered in divinely-amazing cream cheese frosting! This prettily-colored dessert is perfect for Valentine’s Day!

1 c. vegetable oil
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 to 1 tsp. red food coloring gel (I like the gel because it doesn\'t add liquid, yet it\'s highly color saturated)
2 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 Tbsp. baking cocoa
Frosting:
8 oz cream cheese ( softened )
1/2 c. butter ( softened )
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
