This recipe was inspired by Abby Fisher’s cookbook, What Mrs. Fisher Knows about Old Southern Cooking. This was the second known cookbook written by a Black person in the United States. She had an award-winning blackberry bourbon recipe, which sounds delicious. But, this is a wine blog. So, I took that idea turned it around a bit. Bourbon barrel aged wine is becoming more popular. These are rich wines that you can drink by themselves. They are easy drinkers. But, they are also great in a cocktail like this one.
1 bottle bourbon barrel-aged red wine
4 cups blackberries
1 - Heat sugar and berries on medium-low heat until a syrup is formed for 5 minutes.

4 oz head cauliflower
2 oz carrots
3 garlic cloves
3 oz red bell pepper

12 oz beef tenderloin
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 whole lemon
