This is no from-the-can recipe. If you are a big fan of that simple, homemade dinner you can remember from your childhood, then these are the Joes for you! (Sloppy Joes that is.) Not to mention, wimpies are the best family food for unexpected sleepovers, quick suppers, and lunch leftovers. Whenever you're serving these classic sandwiches, you will hit a home run.

1 pound ground beef
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 onion, chopped
3/4 cup ketchup
1 tsp celery seed
2 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp vinegar
2 tsp sugar

Brown beef with onions and peppers in a large skillet. Drain well and return to skillet. Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 15 minutes. Serve on your favorite sandwich roll.
