Trumpet Mushroom and Onion with Sweet Sauce and Basil

The sliced trumpet mushroom has a texture similar to a kind of Chinese rice cakes. Have some fun with this dish if you like mushroom and not rice.

8 ounces Trumpet Mushroom
½ cup sliced onion
1½ tablespoon ketchup
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoon freshly chopped basil
1 tablespoon olive oil
Cut the mushroom into ½-inch slices. Cook in boiling water for 2 minutes then drain. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Sauté the onion for 2 minutes, then add Ketchup, Dijon mustard and sugar. Stir to mix. Add the trumpet mushroom and keep stirring for 1 minute. Add the basil and cook for 2 minutes.
