1 and 3/4 cups cake flour - not self-rising
1 and 1/4 cups unbleached, all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter (unsalted), cut into 1 inch cubes
4 large eggs
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Heat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine the flours, sugar, baking powder and salt and sift together.
Add butter, mixing until just coated with flour.
In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and vanilla.
Add the wet ingredients in 3 parts, and make sure to scrape down the sides after each part.
Fill the liners 2/3 full and bake 17-20 minutes.
